CHILDRENS’ HOME
Global Watch Trust is sponsoring 31 children ( 4 boys including a physically challenged one and 27 girls) who are either completely or partially orphans. Each and every child in our home has had a terrible past. These children were from various remote villages of Tiruvannamalai.
WOMEN TRAINING
The Global Watch Trust is undertaking women training programme since its formation. The main objective of this project is to develop the handicraft skills of downtrodden and backward women especially widows in and around Tiruvannamalai. The trust rented a separate house nearby its registered office at Ramana Nagar (Tiruvannamalai) for this ambitious programme. This house provides good space for working and also serves as the project office. The ladies working in these projects are taking care of the house.
Global Watch Trust has a great focus on environmental awareness. In fact we are working towards a PLASTIC FREE ARUNACHALA. Our goal is to clean up Tiruvannamalai both of solid waste and noise pollution.
PLASTIC FREE ARUNACHALA
The objective of this project is to return our glorious mountain Arunachala to its pristine state free of unwanted waste that has been left behind by many visitors that frequent its heights.
TREE PLANTATION
Under the programme Green Glory Poject and with the greatest help of Amaidhee Trust we plant trees around Tiruvannamalai and the rural areas of the district.
AMMA APPA NURSERY
AMMA APPA is a small nursery in the pradakshina road of Tiruvannamalai. We provide demonstration to rise awareness for the general public and also provide the needy free of cost.
SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP
Global Watch Trust is supporting students who are very much interested in studies but their parents are unable to provide school fees for them. The sponsored children attend the middle school named “Deepa Matriculation School” which is located at Kilnathur road, Tiruvannamalai. It is an English medium school educating more than 300 children.
At Global Watch Trust we are open and always ready to provide support to several causes for the benefit of our community at large. We emphasize awareness, community support and self-help which is ultimately the best help, through the empowerment of individuals and communities.
Health Education Camp
We conduct regular health education camps to create awareness about health and sanitary measures required to reduce the contamination of germs that causes harmful harmful diseases like cholera, thyphoid, dengue, malaria, viral dear and chicken pox.
Road Safety Awareness
In co-operation with a local driving school we conduct programmes for the general public and the taxi drivers to create awareness about road safety, driving rules and regulations. We strive to reduce the number of road accidents in Tiruvannamalai and surronding areas.
Legal Aid Awareness
We provide support for the downtrodden, illiterate and economically restrained people to get legal advice to solve their personal disputes. We provide regular programmes to create awareness about constitutional rights and duties.
OTHER PROJECTS
These are other projects of the Global Watch Trust that include periodical camps and functions to provides for different needs:
- Arunachala sports accademy: to prepare women and men for a career in sports.
- Technical training: to prepare the youth in carpentry and electricity skills.
- Summer coaching classes: free summer campus and classes for children.
- Tree plantation function: to create awareness for children on the importance of trees.
- Function for providing free computers and printers: donated to the high school of Vediappanur village.
- Medical camp: free treatment and medicines, specially for the elder and patients with diabetes.
- Skill devcelopment programme for nurses: provided to all nurses in the Tiruvannmalai district.
